I qualified in Sports Massage 5 years ago and still really enjoy my job. I’m a member of the SMA (Sports Massage Association) and I’m qualified in First Aid.
A good massage will help in maintaining healthy muscle tissue as well as leaving you feeling revitalised .
I have a wealth of knowledge in functional anatomy, physiology and nutrition for sports therapies. I trained in applying sports massage methods to non-pathological tissue.
The treatments are performed in a private self contained room, so we will never be disturbed. The room leads to an en-suite with shower facilities.
Sports Massage reaches deeper layers of muscles. It is used to break down knots and relieve pressure points throughout the body. This massage is beneficial not just for athletes, but those who sit for long periods of time.
The goal of Swedish Massage is to melt away muscle tension and increase the blood flow to your heart. Swedish Massage is extremely therapeutic as it decreases muscle toxins, increases oxygen levels in the blood, and improves flexibility in the body.
Cupping works similarly to massage, but rather than pushing and applying pressure to muscles, the cups pull muscles up into the cup. Cupping encourages blood flow and sedation of the nervous system.
